Pleasantly Surprised
Bought these tires for my lowly Saturn because of the low price with rebate, but also the mostly positive reviews. Noise was the only thing I paid attention to in the comments as that was important to me, my previous tires were Dunlop SP's and Bridgestone Potenzas which were both positively HORRIBLE noise wise. You would think I had Dick Cepek Monster Mudders on the car with the amount of howling those tires made.
These Kumhos are quiet as a tomb compared to the Dunlops. Seriously, I don't hear any tire noise at all, and in this Saturn, you hear just about everything that is capable of making noise. I can't comment on dry traction, as I don't make it a point to drive around corners progressively faster with my G meter to find the exact point where the tires break loose. The local cops kind of frown on the carnage that causes. They hydroplane a bit sooner than expected, definitely not as good as Hydroedges on another of our cars.
Tire life? Again, can't comment, even if I did have a lot of miles on them before I wrote this, which I don't. Differences in driving style, load, alignment, city/highway, heat, state, etc. will all have a much larger effect on life than the tire itself. (In my opinion)
For the price, (with rebate) I'm comfortable giving a high recommendation to anyone considering these. If you have money to burn, you could easily spend twice the amount, but I don't think you'll get much improvement over these Kumhos.

Would buy again
Cornering is ok but sidewalls feal a bit soft. Not as quiet as I felt they would be. Better than OE. Overall a good tire.

Amazed
After researching different affordable tires this Kumho Ecsta Platinum its amazing ... one of the reasons i bought this tire is for its tread wear and noise rating. I usually drive about 30K to 40K miles a year and road noise gets annoying sometimes. When i got on the road with this new tires i was amazed at how quiet these tires are, my engine makes more noise than the tires. About the tread wear i will see if it lives up to it during my first rotation.

GREAT TIRE!!!
Recently put Kumho platinums on my TL... I switch my stock michelins for the winter with stock rims and put on NICE whees with Kumho's .205/50ZR17's for the Spring summer and fall(to minimize the winter salt wear and tear on my nice rimes) and absolutley LOVE the look and the RIDE!! smooth and quiet...too early to tell about MPG results and general wear but am very please with the tires themselves and tirebuyer. Will do business with tirebuyer again and would recommend them to friends with their prompt delivery of the product
