Rated 4 out of 5 by ADVANTAGE, IT SAYS IT ALL! WE PURCHASED A USED RAV ANDAFTER 8 MONTHS IT WAS TIME TO REPLACE TIRES. THE BRAND THAT WAS ON THE RAV, I NEVER HEARD OF BEFORE. THE TOYOTA RAV WAS A 2006 LIMITED AWD WITH A V-6 ENGINE. AFTER ALOT OF RESEARCH WE PURCHASED ADVANTAGE TA TIRES. THERE WAS A SPECIAL ON, BUY 3 TIRES AND GET THE 4TH ONE FREE. WHAT A GREAT DEAL. I GOT TIRED OF BUYING OVER PRICED TIRES THAT DIDN'T GET THE MILEAGE THAT THEY SAID I WOULD. THIS WAS A GREAT DEAL AFTER I PRICED DIFFERENT TIRES AND AT DIFFERENT TIRE STORES. I HAVE 500 MILES ON THESE TA'S AND THE RIDE WAS VERY SMOOTH AND THE HANDLING WAS NOTICABLE. I COULDN'T BELIEVE ON HOW QUIET THE TA'S WERE. IT MADE THE RAV RIDE LIKE A NEW CAR. THIS THE FIRST TIME I EVER GOT A DEAL ON NEW TIRES THAT WAS THIS GOOD. I FEEL THAT THIS TIRE IS GOING TO BE EVERYTHING THAT THEY SAID IT WOULD BE. I WILL KEEP YOU GUYS POSTED WHEN I GET SOME MORE MILEAGE ON THESE BABIES. THANKS FOR LISTENING AND HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY MOTORING. ZONK.:) October 26, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Dry rot in between the treads After the terrible chicago area Winter I looked at my BFGoodrich Premium Touring tires to see all 4 of them purchased in September 2010 (now problem was discovered in March 2014--not noticed due to weather extremes this Winter) with 25 K miles on them to find them having some severe cracking from Dry Rot between the treads around the perimeter of all 4 tires. I am now seeking some sort of adjustment due to this premature kind of tire self destruction. I have data and info to take to the BFG dealer and see what happens. The real BAD news is I just put 4 brand new BFG tires of the same classifications on one of my other cars in early December 2013. My third car also has BFG--same classification and I have 2 other cars in need of tires in the next 6 months. We have 5 cars in our family and always trusted BFG tires before. I am hoping for some kind of adjustment on the cracked and dry rotted Premium Touring 215-65-16's. Wish me luck !!! If there is not an adjustment--then there will not be any more BFG's on any of my cars in the future. April 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by I am a proud of a 2001 ... I am a proud of a 2001 Subaru Outback and it has been our family mover for the past 10 years. Over a year ago, I purchased a set of Advantage T/A tires to replace a set of Michelin tires that was highly recommended by the technicians at Costco. What a difference of night and day. The Advantage tires were hands down the best tires for my Outback!! I found an increase of 15% of fuel efficiency which is a significant difference to my wallet especially when gas is EXTREMELY expensive. I also noticed that there was no road noise coming from the Advantage tires. On the other hand, the Michelin tires were noisy even on newly paved road. The handling, braking far exceeds my expectation of how tires should perform especially when you consider how precious it is for me to drive my family around the streets and highways of California. I would definitely recommend the BFGoodrich tires to anyone considering purchasing tires in the future. November 12, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Car has 31,000 miles and ... Car has 31,000 miles and needed to get the Goodyear GT's off of it. GT's were hard compounded and very noisy. Tires also were an extremely hard ride. Switched to the BF.Goodrich Advantage T/A's in the 225/60R16-98H60K. Noticed a difference immediately. Goodrichs were a much softer compound. Handle great with a very minimum of road noise. The ride is a lot better than the Goodyears. Had the car aligned at the Chevrolet Dealership and so far with 11,000 miles the wear is very minimal. We are very pleased with them in this application. We mainly pleasure drive with no performance application. Oh, almost forgot to mention. BF. Goodrich gave us a rebate on the purchase of those tires at that time. That was nice also. Thank you BF. Goodrich. We feel you build a great tire and will definitely purchase more for our vehicles when the time comes..... November 14, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by REPEAT Buyer Brought my first set of Advantage TA after our OEM tires needed replacing. Got 57 thousand miles out of the first set of TA. We didnt follow the schedule of rotating them so may have gotten more out of them. Like them so much brought our second set. Driving in the rain, no problem. Handling in dry pavement, no problems. We dont get much snow if any, so cant say anything about driving in snow. Road noise was nothing usual. Just made a 800 mile trip with the new tires and my wife made several comments that the ride was smoother and her car drives better, But I guess you get that with any NEW tires. If I could had posted our 57 thousand mile tires to show you the wear, you would see why I brought our second set. Not just for performance cars, but for family sedans too. June 16, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Tire Put 225/60/16 on my 2000 Honda Oddysey. I've had them for about 20,000 miles. The handling is excellent, it can be pushed real hard before any squeeling starts. The van tracks straight & true, it never did before. Turn in is responsive with nice feel. There is no tread niose. The ride is a little firm but worth it for the responsiveness. They thump pretty hard only on the worst road surfaces. Tread life is acceptable considering we drive it like it's a go cart. We got a deep cut in one of the sidewalls & I was amazed that it didn't blow out. I wont try anything else on this vehicle because I'm afraid I'll just be dissappointed....We're pretty dang happy! I just ordered a set for my 1993 Lexus LS400, I'll post another review on that vehicle after I get them. October 3, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Camry to Camwheee I bought a 2003 Camry last year with only 34,000 miles on the car. I blew out one of the original tires on a road trip and decided the 9 year old tires were not safe, even though they looked good. It was a tough choice between a mileage tire and the BF Goodrich Advantage. Glad I chose the sporty tire because these tires stick like glue in the corners. High speed cruising is excellent at 80+ MPH. The tires track straight and are extremely stable it high speed. The down side is the gas mileage dropped about 2 MPG. This may be due to the fact that I am driving a bit faster in town and feeling out the limits of the tires. Turned the Camry into a Camwheeeee!!! February 19, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 Giving them 1 more chance After 6,200 mile my Advantage TA 225 55 R17 tire on my Chevy Impala had excessive sidewall cracking (only on the car 7 months, but 29 month old tires according to the DOT #'s), original retailer wouldn't stand behind them, called BF Goodrich direct, they gave me the name of a second retailer that replaced my tires with "new" Advantage TA. After 1000 miles this set of tires looks to be fine, I don't think you could find a tire with a better ride, if they hold up. April 23, 2014
