Kumho tire was established as Samyang Tire in South Korea in 1960. In the early days, the company was very dependent on manual labor and only produced about 20 tires a day! But by the end of the 1960s, Kumho was ready to enter the world marketplace with a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Today, Kumho Tire operates seven manufacturing plants in three different countries, producing more than 66 million tires per year.
Kumho USA is based in Rancho Cucamonga, California, with distribution centers in Los Angeles, Chicago, and Atlanta. Notable tire technologies include Escot technology, which maximizes performance, safety, and comfort through optimized braking and improved steering. Kumho is also a leader in creating eco-conscious tires, using materials and manufacturing techniques that lessen environmental impact.
What people are saying
The Kumho Sense KR26 is a great tire for the money. I have yet to drive in the snow or ice with these tires but so far they have been great. Low road noise and great traction on dry roads and no issues in the rain. This was my first experience with these tires, but my second purchase through TireBuyer and I have to say they have been excellent. You can't beat the prices without a big headache. You've made it easy!

I've just put 75,000 miles in two years on this set of Kumho Road Venture AT tires and have driven in all conditions. Ice (Alabama's "Snow-pocalypse” that left thousands stranded because they didn't have traction to get home), light snow (3-4 inches max), rain, mud, dry, you name it. Every time, these tires made my 2009 2WD PreRunner Tacoma handle like a dream. I would recommend this tire over any other brand of all-terrain tire available on the market, especially for the price! I can probably get about 5,000 more miles on these tires before they get dangerously worn.
