Rated 5 out of 5 by JB Mr. The G MAX AS03 tires are a definite upgrade from the goodyear F1 supercar tires. traction in all conditions is 2 fold better. 500 HP is not tamed but definately better controlled & applied with this tire. Have not had snow yet, but icy & ice/fog conditions did not deter nor hinder the abilities of me or this tire. EXTREMELY satisfied with this tire, so much i bought a set for my Jeep G chkee. Also have convinced 4 friends to purchase this tire for their Jag S class, Dodge intrepid, Chrysler 300, & Eagle Talon TSI. All are extremely happy & impressed. No matter what your driving style this tire will handle it & deliver a safe/confident experience. best tire on the market as an all season tire. Will & have recommended it to all friends/family & anyone needing a reliable/confident tire. I only have 1 suggestion................ buy them. tire buyer met all my needs & delivered as needed. Quality tire provided by Quality service, thank you General & Tire buyer. February 1, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Zarathu Have Only had the tire for about 1500 miles... I have used General Arctic Altimax in Maine's severe snowy winter for three years and its been like driving on dry pavement in my Subaru Impreza AWD. So when it came time to replace the Yokohamas, I've gone with the Gmax AS-03's. Since putting them on, we had an end of the season 2 inches of snow. Driving was very much like the snow tires. We've had flooding rain. So I pushed the car a little bit out of my comfort range in driving rain on a very curvy road and they stuck to the road like flypaper, well beyond my willingness to drive any faster. They are little bit noisy, but not so that you can't have a regular conversation with people in the car, and not as bad as snows(without studs) in any way. So far they have lived up to their hype as being a very high quality tire. I really like the tire and it feels great for my fairly sedate driving patterns; but with available traction for unusual or high speed difficult conditions. Super 3 season tire, with even the ability to handle some snow very well. April 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Dan Mr. I have only had the tires on for a couple of weeks but so far I am pleased. I have bought strictly Goodyear tires as replacements for the last 30+ years and the last set of Generals I bought was in about 1978. I didn't have problems with them but just always preferred Goodyears. I replaced the Pirellis that came as the OEM tire on the Mustang. Actually, we have two Mustangs with OEM Pirellis and I just never liked them very much. After reading the reviews of these tires I decided to give the Generals a try. So far the ride is smooth and as quiet as one can expect for a Mustang. One thing about these tires you should keep in mind is that the tread is directional so make sure that you if you mount them yourself like I did or your installer mounts them that the tread rotates the correct direction. And remember when rotating, a tire on the right has to be switched with the other tire on the right and the same for the tires on the left otherwise the tread will track backward. I will update this once I have put a few thousand miles on the tire. February 28, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Doug Very satisfied! We put these on our 2012 R/T Challenger and took a vacation. 3700 mile round trip to California and back to Kansas we drove in lots of rain, light snow and dry road conditions. The tire performed very well. It gives a quiet comfortable ride, great handling through twist and turn mountain roads, good on light snow and great on wet rain covered roads. I would definitely recommend this tire for value, comfort, traction and quiet ride. I am not sure if the tire can improve your fuel mileage or not but our performance car has the 5.7 Hemi with a 6 speed manual transmission and the best we had was 26.19 mpg at 80 mph interstate driving and the worst in city traffic was 22.2 mpg. The entire trip came to 24.5 overall. That is better than normal and we were very pleased with that as well. April 29, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by JimCTS Excellent Tire! Love these tires. Friend had put on an 06 Acura RL and really liked them, but with the AWD, anything works fairly well. I had a Cadillac CTS with 35K on original Michelin Pilots. Never liked the Pilots- fine on dry roads, but seemed to hydroplane easily in rain and were useless on anything slick. Had no interest in getting another set of Michelins, they were uninspiring since new. Put on this set of General AS-03 and it was like getting a new car. Dry roads, very good- quiet, smooth, no squeal with hard cornering. Feels like you're stuck to the road. The wet and slick performance is what I was most interested in with this RWD CTS. No hydroplaning at all, no problem with traction. The ride now is very confident. 100% satisfied with this tire and would definitely recommend it. March 8, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by HunterST An excellent winter tire choice First time with Continental's winter snow tire and I'm totally pleased after 3,000 miles. For Pennsylvania roads and our snowy winters (as of late), they are a true winter tire with a tacky rubber surface good for low-temp grip. Even with snow-covered roads, I've had no problems with traction. Emergency "test stops" display a surprising amount of stopping power from these tires... a nice, rapid scrunching of snow combined with rapid deceleration. And they offer a quiet, comfortable ride when the roads aren't snow covered. I won't even say they are good "for the price." They are really great performers and keep you safe in the winter. Rated 4 out of 5 by Hebegb Great Tires I thought the aggressive tread pattern would make for a noisy, rough ride but it's not the case. These tires are as quiet and smooth as the stock Kuhmo tires but with superior grip. I purchased the V rated tires with the stiffer sidewall and there is a very noticeable improvement in feel when cornering over the stock H rated tires. I've only put 2K miles on them so I cannot comment on wear yet. So far so good though. Saved about $90 over all by purchasing these from TyerByer and having them installed locally. February 18, 2015
