$131.99 - $249.99 each

The Michelin LTX M/S2 is Michelin’s most popular tire for pickups, crossovers, and SUVs—and with exceptional treadlife, fuel efficiency, and comfort, it’s easy to see why. The tire’s silica tread compound and lateral water evacuation grooves provide excellent grip and stopping power in inclement weather, and the tread design incorporates more biting edges than its predecessor for improved light snow traction.

  • MaxTouch Construction™ distributes forces of acceleration, cornering, and braking for longer wear
  • Tread design features 8% more biting edges than its predecessor for better grip in snow
  • 3D active sipes for improved handling
  • Three circumferential grooves provide exceptional resistance to hydroplaning
  • Silica tread compound provides exceptional wet handling and braking
  • Additional sipes and large lateral grooves for improved snow traction
  • Super high tensile steel belts for durability
  • Nylon cap maximizes the tire’s contact with the road for improved handling and tread life
  • Tread Life Warranty: Varies based on speed rating
  • Uniformity Warranty: First 25% Even Wear, 1 Tire Permitted
  • Workmanship Material Warranty: 72 month first 25% Free Replacment
  • Manufacture's Hazard Warranty:
  • Test Drive Warranty: 30 Day Ride and Try
  • Manufacture's Special Warranty: For a "Staggered Fitment" application (different size tires on the front and rear axles) the rear tires will only be warrantable for one half of the stated mileage for that tire line.

Rated 4.8 out of 5by 2300reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5by Replacement set for defective ones I have used the LTX-MS2 tires for quite a few years and this is the second time that I have had to have a new set replaced due to balance issue. This time, they tried 1 tire, but did not help and Force Balance did not help and 2 different shops produced radical different results from OK to UNABLE TO BALANCE. The latter was more correct, since they advised I had a mechanical defective on my warranty truck, the dealer pointed out that the Force showed unable to balance. After some doing, they finally replaced the entire set and we were able to get a ride that was not like driving down a gravel road. I had this same problem on another truck years ago, same tire, same problem, same fix... replace the tires till you get a good set. They are good tires when you get a good set and have great mileage life which is why I use them, but when they are bad, they are really bad. Warranty is the key, if they did not replace we would have serious issues, but it is time consuming. August 19, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5by Happy Happy Happy My family and I live in the northern part of the Black Hills. I use my truck for ranching and for my farrier business. I travel a lot of highway and gravel roads shoeing horses so I wanted a tire that lasted a long time and could get me where I needed to go. So far, these tires have been through snow, ice, mud and a few thousand miles of highway. Just hauled 8 ton of cattle feed during a snow storm with bad roads and the tires performed great! I just hope I can get 70,000 miles out of them as they weren't the cheapest tires to buy, but based on reviews from other purchasers, they seemed like the best fit for our lifestyle. My father-in-law has the same tires on his Excursion and they have lasted many miles and still have over half tread left. So far, very pleased with the tires! Tire Buyer was wonderful to work with! I received my tires in two days! They had the best price anywhere and had free shipping! I will DEFINATELY buy from Tire Buyer again! November 6, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5by These tires check all the boxes I know little about vehicle servicing and even less about tires. When told on a routine service that I would need new tires before my upcoming inspection, I turned to the online sites I've come to respect for no-nonsense advice for people like me. I found that Michelin were highly rated by both experts and purchasers. I then learned that the OEM tires for my particular vehicle were Michelin (not what was on the vehicle by the time I purchased it). And finally I learned that, contrary to expectation, Michelin were reasonably priced. I found Michelins that fit my vehicle and matched my driving habits/weather: the LTX M/S2. I then read online reviews about this particular tire. Confident, I bought them. I've now been driving on them for four months and can honestly say that I notice the difference in the sound and handling of the vehicle (especially in the rain). I would highly recommend these tires to anyone who's looking to check all the boxes of quality, performance and affordability. August 31, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5by LTX M/S2's are superb tires Michelin is the only tire is use on my vehicles. The LTX M/S2's I have on my 2007 Chevy Silverado Classic. I removed the OEM tires in less than 350 miles, replaced them Michelin's, and I haven't looked back. The wear, performance, value, quiet ride, traction, and dependability are something I have come to expect from Michelin tires. Today, when it costs so much to buy a car, why would you want to take chance and ruin it by purchasing cheap tires? Certainly not me! I am always amazed when people spend so much money on purchasing a vehicle yet want buy the cheapest tires possible as I have seen the havoc that poor tires can cause. I am on my second set of LTX's for my truck now and know that I can count on them to perform exactly as my first set. Living in snow country on a mountainside I never worry about these tires failing me which is most comforting. And, if any reason, an issue should arise, I know Michelin stands 100% behind every tire they manufacture. To me, that speaks volumes! August 7, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5by Disappointed I'm very disappointed in the mileage of these tires, I put them on with wheel alignment, and rotation every 6,000 miles in August of 2010. Mileage when I put them on was 31641 and today the mileage with little tread showing is 68957 that is 37316 miles which is 53% of the 70K miles advertised. I'm 75 and have never "hot-rodded" these tires, I just want to go A to B. Wednesday I will be putting another manufacturer's tire on my Avalanche. I just wanted Michelin to know why I'm leaving your company after many years as a customer. This is my first disappointment with Michelin in 30 years. I just thought it was unfair for me to just bad mouth Michelin. You are the people that can do something about this problem. The price for these tires was double what I could have bought others for that had a 40K warranty. Won't be spending my money on another maybe tire with Michelin. August 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5by Everyone should drive on Michelins! I have purchased Michelin Tires for my vehicles for the past 20 years. When I got married a year ago I purchased Michelin Tires for my wife's Jeep. The reason that I have used Michelin's is for a number of reasons. They are in my mind the safest, quietest, most reliable tires on the market. The tread wear is unbelievable. The past two sets I have had on my trucks have gone way past the listed warranty period and still have tread life left. The ride they have provided has been comfortable, quiet and the handling in all types of weather is fantastic. My wife loves her Michelin tires. The ride they have provided is wonderful and we both love to drive her Jeep just because of those tires. Plus on both of our vehicles those tires look great. On many occassions when it comes to guys talking about our vehicles it always comes down to what tires you have on your vehicle. I don't hesitate in responding to those wonderful Michelin's. Thank You Michelin for providing a great tire. August 12, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 Disappointed I have used the LTX tire for many years on my personal vehicles. The fire dept. I work at runs them as well. I have always been so impressed at the tread life and performance of these tires. Never considered another tire company until now. The new LTX/2 seems to be a different tire all together in a bad way. The tread life isn't near what it used to be. Why continue to pay premium price for a tire that isn't as near as good as the set previously purchased? Why change the compound on a tire that was the flagship tire for your company? I'm now in the market for a new set of tires for my vehicles and will be looking at other brands for the first time in 20 years. Really disappointed. September 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5by New to Michelin I'm pretty new to Michelin, having bought my first set a few months ago for my 2001 GMC Jimmy. I've since added a set of these tires to my 2004 GMC Sierra 4wd pickup. So, I guess that says that I like what I'm seeing from the tires. I've always had a good impression of Michelin and now, thus far, I can say they definitely give a nice ride. Haven't had the occasion to drive in snow because we don't get that much. Also, I'm not going off-road, just doing town and highway driving. So, I cannot address how these LTX M/S2 tires would perform off-road. Frankly, if I used my pickup as a farm vehicle or for camping, I might be more inclined to get Michelin's all-terrain version. But, for now, let me say that I am pleased with both sets of tires and I'm hoping that I will get great mileage from them. They are, admittedly, a bit more expensive than other brands that I looked at. But, if their durability and mileage give me excellent performance, it will be worth the extra. I am confident in recommending these tires. August 15, 2013
