Frequently asked questions

Do I need to modify my truck if I want 33" tires?

To fit 33" tires on a half–ton truck (1500) you’ll most likely need a front leveling kit to clear your tires, depending on their width as these can range from 10.50"–13.50" wide. On most three–quarter ton (2500) and 1–ton (3500) trucks a 33" tall tire will fit without modifications, depending on the tire width and wheel offset. For Jeeps, Tacomas, 4-Runners, Rangers, Colorado’s, FJ’s and Land Cruisers, you’ll need a 2–3" suspension lift.

What are 33" tires in centimeters?

They range in overall diameter from 82.55–85.09 centimeters.

What size rims do you need for 33" tires?

They’re available in 15"–22" rim or wheel diameters.

What are the drawbacks to larger tires?

Increasing the overall tire diameter from the stock tires will decrease fuel mileage, increase braking distances, alter the handling of the vehicle, take longer to accelerate off the line, and cause the speedometer to read slower than what you’re actually going.
