Toyo Celsius All-Weather Tires

Tires that provide sufficient performance no matter what the temperature, weather and road conditions offer immense practical and safety advantages.

The all-weather Celsius collection by Toyo Tires offers year-round versatility plus winter-weather safety in one. These all-weather tires offer better ice and snow traction than a typical all-season tire and longer tread life than a winter tire.

“I drive in central New York where the temperatures range from -20F in January to +98F in July. The Toyo Celsius is the perfect tire for all weather conditions. Not having to switch over from dedicated winter tires to summer tires every six months is both time and cost saving. These tires ride and handle better than my OE all season tires…I’m going to buy a second set for my other car which is a CUV." – Toyo Celsius customer review, ToyoTires.com

The Celsius collection is available for a wide range of vehicles.

Coupes and sedans will be fitted with the Toyo Celsius in 54 sizes ranging from 14-20-inches.

The Celsius CUV is designed for SUVs and CUVs in 32 sizes from 16-20-inches.

Third-party testing has verified the tire’s wintertime advantages. The Celsius stops up to 14-feet shorter in snow and eight-feet shorter on ice than a standard all-season tire. The Celsius CUV comes to a stop a whopping 31-feet shorter in snow than the all-season competition. Of note, these comparison stops were from just 30 mph (snow) and 15 mph (ice), so the traction advantages and performance differential at higher, real-world speeds may be even more substantial as compared to many all-season tires.

All-weather tread compound

The tire tread compound formula in Celsius tires reacts to changes in temperatures. For example, summer tire compounds harden to the point of being unusable and hazardous in freezing temperatures. Similarly, the soft, cold weather-focused compounds of winter tires will soften and suffer from poor performance and accelerated wear in hot temperatures. They also wear quicker than all-season tires and are often noisier on the road.

Toyo’s advanced nano-level tire compound development process (1 nano = 1 billionth of a meter) has opened the door to creating an all-weather compound for the Celsius that’s optimally reactive to all seasons and temperatures. Soft enough in sub-freezing temperatures to maintain pliability and interactivity with the road surface, but also not susceptible to hot summer temperatures.

And the tread is long-lasting to boot – the Celsius comes with a 60,000-mile treadwear warranty.

Dual, all-weather tread design

Tire nerds like us can generally take one look at a tread design and give you a summary of the tire's intended purpose.

But even trained eyes will have to double-take the Celsius. To accomplish its diverse performance, the inside half of the tread is winter-focused, with snow claws, aggressive grooving, and high density siping.

The outer half of the tread resembles an all-season or summer touring tire, with more moderate siping. This section of tread is aimed at wet condition traction (water evacuation) and dry weather handling. A circumferential rib and lower void ratio on the outside tread optimizes both wet and dry performance.

The combination of Celsius technologies has resulted in measurable wintertime performance advantages over all-season tires, and qualification for the Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake credential, which signifies legitimate Severe Snow Service capability alongside winter tires.

Whether you're ready to move on from the insufficient winter performance of all-season tires, or want to simplify your tire life by eliminating seasonal swaps, the innovative Toyo Celsius could be your ticket.
