Rated 4 out of 5 by LT 28570R17E 121R The 4 ea. LT2857017's perform well and corner VERY well on dry pavement, dry soil roads and even deep dry sand. These tires perform well in mud and appear to clean themselves easly. However as with all tires, when in heavy clay soils, they ball up easly. These tires were purchased in early 2012, the first sold by the dealer. Advertised as 70K mile tires, and All Terrain tires that would not be noisy, they now have 25K miles and are wearing like iron. These tires continuely haul 34' stock trailers on soil roads and they still have the tire mold "wiskers" attached. They corner better than the 10 ply Michelens that came on the truck. The first 10 - 15K miles the tires were very quiet, however around 17K miles and after, they have become very noisy - on pavement! If you do a lot of freeway driving, they will become noisy. However they "corner" like steel rails and so far are lasting like iron. If you do a lot of gravel road driving - I doubt you can beat them for their conrning ability, wear ability and weight carrying capacity. But remember - they WILL throw small stones! Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic Tread Life After years of running BFG ATs and MTs I purchased a set of Rugged Terrain LT275 70 18's in the spring of 2011 for my Ram 2500 CTD and have not been disappointed. Since that time I have racked up 65k miles on them and they are still not all the way down to the wear bars. I have rotated them every 6k and the wear is incredible, it's almost a challenge now to see how many miles I can get out of them but being so close to winter I will be forced to purchase another set. Keep in mind this is on a HD Diesel pickup and they are listed as a 50K mile tire..... I drive mostly on pavement, the noise is minimal through all stages of wear, handling is outstanding as well. The only negative I have is a slight radial pull in one of the tires that I have just lived with off and on depending on tire position. No question that I will replace with the identical tire. Thanks BFG for building a killer tire. October 2, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not a good tire Bought a set of 4 of these tires from a membership warehouse. They look great, I like the tread design and they are pretty quiet on the highway. The problem with them is they will not balance properly. One of the four tires would not balance at all, I took my truck to the dealer where they did a road force balance and could not balance it, they said it was defective. I went back to the warehouse store and they finally replaced it but that was not a pleasent experience. The second tire took nine ounces to balance and they said my wheel was bent but I didn't have any problems before putting these tires on. My truck is only 8 months old and a daily driver on the highway. The previous set of OEM tires were as smooth as glass. I would avoid these tires!!! Not happy and they should be a much better tire for the price that I paid. My gas mileage also dropped by 2 miles per gallon! July 23, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by on the fence Of the 13 times I have bought new tires, since I do not buy used tires, 9 of them have been BFG, radial T/A 4 times, mud T/A 1, all terrain T/A 1, advantage T/A 1, Ecentia GT 1, and the Rugged trail T/A 1, every one of these has been exceptional in quality and has met my expectations without fail, except the Rugged Trail T/A's. That I have gotten for my escape. they are extremely noisy at any speed and in the snow they do not do as well as they look like they would. They look great, but that is their best feature. That being said, I am still a BFG fan and buyer probably for life, I don't feel 1 sub standard set of tires out of 9 sets will stop me from coming back, and since I know the same tire can act completely different depending on vehicle and driving style, this tire maybe awesome, just not for a Ford escape. Rated 2 out of 5 by Looks good, but HORRIBLE noise. First I would like to start with the things I like about the tire. I had the dealer install these when I purchased the vehicle. I purchased a Honda Ridgeline and I was given a list to choose from and having the BFG All Terrains in the past I thought these would be great for me. They look awesome, and i have gone through some pretty good snow with them. Even a little bit of mud and they were great. I have even had 1600lbs of stone in the bed and they felt nice and sturdy. However, the noise is horrible. After the first 4000 miles I tried to rotate them, and the noise was worse. Now I am no stranger to noise, and in the past running mud terrains on some trucks I've had it wasnt a huge deal. But this Honda I was not looking for any noise. I traded in a half ton Silverado with the All terrain's and they were 10 times quieter. I have a hard time having a conversation in the cab, thats how loud they are. I will not be rotating them again due to this and will just wear them out as is. Its ashame too, because I loved how they looked and they had a claim of low noise. I guess next time I will stick with the all terrains which were silent for me. May 27, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Now my SUV feels better I was looking for a much better tire than the stock on my 2011 Jeep GC. The rep for Michelin suggested that I wait until the BF Goodrich Rugged Terrain T/A is released in late Spring. I finally picked my set up in June and boy that was best advice I got. I can report so far the following after 2 months of use: I have not lost any any MPG. The ride is smoother than I anticipated as if it was a luxury touring tire. Moreover, in wet conditions, the traction holds the road with authority and I am far more comfortable than before. In light off-road conditions on gravel roads, lite mud and wet conditions it has been impressive (Cannot report yet on other off-road conditions). A little noisy on the highway, but, not that bad that after while you forget about it. Finally, I can not wait for the winter to see how the tire performs. August 11, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 Wanted The Best For My Truck! My 07 Ford F150 SuperCrew Lariat 4x4 came equipped with the Rugged Trail T/A. I wanted a tire that had a more aggressive tread, but not as aggressive as All Terrain T/A. This Rugged Terrain T/A was the answer. The pictures on the internet do not do this tire justice. You have to see it yourself. Had a set installed before a trip to Winchester, Va. Driving on Interstate 81 running 75-78 mph and the truck felt like it was on rails. Slightly more road noise from this tire, but my wife made the comment that the truck rode as smooth as her 08 Accord V-6 EXL. No doubt that these tires will handle the winter driving in Virginia. Also with these being Load E rated, if I pull a trailer or haul a heavy load, I know all I have to do is raise the PSI in the tires. Way to go with this new tire BF Goodrich! August 3, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 Going back for more These tires are on a 2004 F150 FX4 owned by my employer. I put over 35k miles on a set over the last 20 months. They show a little bet of edge chop at this point, but have handled and worn well overall. Great stability and confidence inspiring, especially considering I do a lot of miles with trailers in tow. One key I've found is regular tire rotation (every 4k to 8k miles) really helps even the wear between tire locations. Looking forward to new shoes! May 4, 2014

So far so good....

I ordered these tires online from TireBuyer.com and they were delivered overnight. Great customer service. As far as the tires go, I have had them installed for about 3 weeks now and so far so good.
